I feel like I’ve seen a million sunsets
at once,

but no one even of the dawns.

I feel like I’ve been shot by a million

guns,

but survived on my own.

I saw a child forgotten along
in the crowd
crying and trembling with fear,
but no one asked him what happened
about
giving him his sympathetic ear.

I feel like I’m living in the jungle’s
township,
where the people are the beasts,
for the victims they seek, catch up
and rip,
and a neighbor his neighbor eats. 
***
I’ve gotta get a warning massage
to you -
beware of the beasts around.
This is the world we’re going
through,
this is the jungle’s world 
we’ve found.
