Lebanon
A quiet restaurant,
A place of joy and care,
Long bright cocktail dresses,
Jazz flowing around,
Touching genuinely
Young and stubborn hearts.
We tasted chocolate
And hummus.
Remembering
A long song of zurna
And guests,
Projecting our prom night dresses
As if they were orbital stations...
Now it's a dim time of war
When the country is torn into several parts,
Like a cracked ruby,
But we memorize
A string of golden days,
A breath of air
Before the wrath of the Universe
Fell over a flourishing country.
