Relentless Dreamers
Through misery of pain,
Redemption may be near
The cumbersome disdain;
Go on, forgive the future,
Whatever it may bring,
The love is sometimes mutual,
And even caged birds sing;
The clarity of reasons
Is often not the case,
We're not insured from treason,
Of fate's prodigious ways;
But still, there can be profit,
Not where we assume,
The other side of loathing
Produces divine dew;
The dreaming's even legal,
Whatever people say,
A thought can fly like seagulls
Over the sunny bay!
