Огонь на себя –
гражданские лица?!
а тот, кто стреляет, –
защитником мнится.
Им звёзды не пахнут,
погоны не жмут;
в их доме – достаток,
в их доме – уют.
Им вместо «За Родину!» –
«Смерть тонкокожим!»,
сердцам беззащитным,
людишкам ничтожным.
Никто не забыт
и ничто не забыто –
и будет забита
свинья у корыта.

The fire upon oneself

Drawing the fire
upon themselves –
are civilians?!
and those shooting –
a true tower of strength
in their own eyes.
Their pips don’t stink,
their shoulder boards
don’t pinch;
they live in plenty,
comfortably off.
Instead of
“For home and country!” –
“Death to the thin-skinned!”,
to the naked hearts,
to the small-fry,
little nobodies.
We’ll neglect no one,
we’ll keep an eye
on every little thing –
sure to slaughter
every dirty swine
at its trough.
