Forbidden Fruit

I’m yet to taste forbidden fruit.
I’m yet to quench eternal thirst.
Still growing seed that strives to surface.
The color of your eyes watering my ground.
I wonder if I ever get to reach that blissful feeling
Or would I still hide behind ground?

My inner world has no edges.
Its magnitude immeasurable.
But who am I deceiving?
Who cares about that?
He feasts with eyes by nature.
To me it’s just another pressure.

At times I leave myself
Too repulsed by where I live and how I hide it.
All people strive to find a home.
Am I the only one who wants to disappear?
My roots are drenched in rain;
The leaves turned to lilac blue.

I’m yet to taste forbidden fruit.
I’m yet to quench eternal thirst.
The price is way too high.
Ending isn’t worth the way.
What’s the point of this game?
I’m too afraid to fall.
