Glorification of knowledge

If someone asked me where and when I met you,
I would tell them the truth four times:

1.It was on the cozy outskirts of a sacred city
2.It was two hours after midday,
3.I haven't heard a word about your name not because of my ignorance,
but because I was too busy reading spiritual books.
4. I was sober but my cold and adamant soul started turning into water,

I would seek peace and quiet in times of fear,
I would explain the seemingly impossible in layman terms to people I barely knew,
I would read both holy books and the letters in the sky,
And the sky started falling down on me.

I would pray to gods and spirits in different temples
For them to strengthen my cold and adamant soul,
So that I could keep my memory and mind clear,
Unattainable to wrath and passion,

But they showed me a deluge of blood instead.

Do I see light or darkness within you?
Silence or long minutes of brusque noise?

Neither of these,
But you were the amalgam that kept reflections
And you were red and green marble,
And you were the deepest river to cross
And you were an hour of silence
In cold, lonely and cryptic mountains.

*This verse is a reminder about the Medieval Legends

The process of  philosophic cognition in the Middle Ages metaphorical/aesthetic systems is sometimes referred to and associated with mysterious, irrational spiritual practices, including the practice of energy sublimation for the sake of more refined, non-physical states.

In order to find out more, please consult works by U.Eco and international scientific schools of 'neo-medievalism'. I haven't yet majored in this field but the range of topics represented here is next to endless.
