Battleships

I didn’t have it in myself to go against the tide.
So when the battleships set off, I’ll lead the way
And all those brave ones staying on the land
Will be hand in hand dancing all the way.

Warpath has led some lose their head.
"Hell is the road that opens heaven’s gate" they say.
The road’s vivid blue but I’ll turn it golden shade.
And if we sink beneath the flames, “at least I tried” I’ll say.

And all those dancers dressed in black
Would explode with laughter right in my face.
And as they stab me in back,
Their only excuse “you’re not one of us”.

I didn’t have it in myself to go against the west
So now all the wounds are opened once again.
And as I bleed out every ounce of myself,
I’ll curse them all to rot in hell.
