The brooding clouds

The brooding clouds
maybe they are dreaming
of all the dawns
that not for them will shine.

Because the rain
is coming to dispel
their fortresses
of white and greyish bricks.

The brooding clouds
so ominous, unstable,
formidable and yet fragile,
Empire-like, tend to expand,
Then to inflate
And finally implode.

The brooding clouds
are here to remind us
that only one thing
constant is in Nature -
The law which states:
The greater things become,
The faster their inevitable way
To a disastrous,
Ravaging decline.

The brooding clouds
they are here no more.
The diamond wounds
are only on my window,
which rays of sun
are coming soon to cure.
