The time of trials and testing

Many philosophies, many religions
offer to us their plans of salvation,
and these ideas and credos are legions,
selling us hopes of liberation.

Since Adam's fall the humanity failed
to free itself from all pain and toil,
and, as it seems, it's completely derailed
fighting for freedom, power, or oil.

Whether the causes are just or unfair
of revolutions, of wars, and of strife,
where is peace and prosperity, where?
Suffering is so present in life.

Forces of wickedness, never relenting,
keep us in tension, suspicion, and fear.
They're new strategies daily inventing
how to perils our souls to steer,

how to make us dependent, enslaved
by sinful thoughts and desires primeval
and, with the minds corrupted, depraved
people are lost in this battle with evil.

Those in charge serve the forces demonic,
bribed by money, position and power,
with appetites napoleonic
they've been longing for this last hour.

Privvy to secrets of occult and magic,
being united, these forces prepare
many calamities, incidents tragic,
and into traps of the system ensnare.

They're not hiding their nature sadistic,
locking up people and making them follow
washing of hands ritualistic,
distancing, masks, - the society swallows!

Offering "carrot and stick", they're ruling,
making more sick their rules and insane,
and I am wondering, whom they're fooling...
Yet, so many of fools they train.

Many submitted to madness somehow,
trusting not logic and reason, but dollars.
Many accept the predicament now,
wear invisible dog leads and collars.

Trusting authorities, media lies
(rational thinking is not for this season),
people forgot how to analyze,
to scrutinize, to think, and to reason.

Not just in shops some are wearing muzzles,
going even an extra mile,
putting a shield on the top, and what puzzles,
they believe that this all is worthwhile.

Fear is ruling, inflicting such caution,
which for the health is, alas, detrimental.
Hitler would envy all this brainwashing,
making so many of populace mental.

Collaborating with these neo-fascists,
trusting authorities more than the brain,
lunatics welcome new trends and new fashions,
and to dictators so loyal remain.

This is the time of trial and testing.
That's no time to sit on the fences.
Am I in Christ all my life investing?
Would I suppress any remnants of senses?

This crazy world day by day is decaying
and more and more it's becoming insane.
All I can do in this madness is praying,
and my belief in God's plan to maintain.

I trust in wisdom of the Creator,
in His provision and in His protection,
and in the Christ, our Lord, Mediator,
and in His promise of resurrection.

If He allowed all this tribulation,
letting us go through this ordeal,
shaking each soul and shaking each nation,
this is for testing who's false, who is real.

Would I unbent in my faith remain
or to the media's scares would bow,
would I from all propaganda abstain,
or would defiling my temple allow?
