For an instant

***

While making a translation of my previous poem written in Russian language I have discovered that it obtained a great sense of individuality and can take its own place and play its own tune in English version.
We dont' command rhymes but they do...

           For an instant

For an instant you lose the ground,
For an instant you lose your peace,
No doubts, or fears, unfaithfulness
Are to crown your brilliant pace.

For an instant you leave the harbour,
For an instant you clap on sails,
Restlessness measures the nonchalance,
A momentum of love and its grace.

The eternity's quotes are useless:
No marks on the backside of life.
And the tears are hymn of the ruthlessness
On the faces of history's rhymes.

You gaze at the world
And its glorious plate,
Bewitched by the nonsense
And pitiful fate.

While losing a game
You set up for a wit,
In praising a moment
You master a flip.

I wish you could lose,
I wish you could win,
Denying the stigmas
Of a destiny's whim.

For an instant you wonder,
For an instant you gain,
A whiff of the abyss
Is stronger than pain.
