Некоторые пояснения, которые мне удалось найти:
Bout - a round.
Stars and Sun, God - names of horses.
unjaded - a jade is a horse of inferior breed; a hint to the answer.
He and He - the two other horses.
Glory, less - less time to win the race, the glory.
Ring - a circular runway.
