My life without songs and music
Would be uninteresting and bleak.
The songs inspire and amuse me,
And make me strong when I feel weak.
One song among them is so rare
And differs greatly from the rest:
I need it as I need the air,
I think I am with it obsessed.
It soothes me and I feel blissful,
It stirs me up in different ways;
Me, agitated, turns to peaceful,
It's in my head all nights and days.
The song sometimes brings me to tears -
I find it cool, nevertheless,
Because it is extremely dear!
This SONG - is YOU, I must confess.
I love this SONG and I admire
The way it's turning in my mind,
And how it sets my heart to fire!
A better tune is hard to find ...
