A Genuflection

I genuflect before pure Islam,
The faith of caliphs I revere,
It is delight, thirst-quenching sweet balm;
The grandeur of mosques strikes holy fear.

And the sagacious true Qur’an,
That leads the men along the path of joy,
My soul does imbue with calm
And fills the spiritual void.

I bow my head before pure Islam,
The great religion born in the past,
Which is a way to Allah’s realm,
He will fulfill the promise last.
