The frog kissing is
about sympathy
and the dialogues
in the midnight hour.
Your poetry
is the field
she may intervene,
never about how though.
You wait till
someone listens through
and tells you: “Never mind”.
You’d write down
anything she’d bring up,
but pronounce it way too kind.
You are mild.
So am I.
