A tribute to Edward Snowden

In your view, life is a code.
A code of an endless road, or a pretty girl, or a sunset.
Sometimes you wish you could click 'escape' or 'reset'.
Life is a code with letters and numbers flowing around,
A code for every word, for every sound.
You work hard to get your wage,
But with September 11 starts a new age.
You're full of rage for terrorism -
An opposition to humanism.
You treat life with an ironic realism.
Life is a code you break each day
While the others feel shame and dismay.
Life is a flight you can't delay.
You spy with your little eye
And then regret what you've done.
In this field you are second to none.
Life is a bonfire that's full of embers,
Or a verse you can't remember.
You deal with codes. They're in you forever.
Your youth is over, you turn to a corporate world,
A world of knowledge and secrets untold.
Secrets revealed and a life in disguise -
You've made your way to the truth from lies.
