Golden egg
At the lake Ashmere, as you can imagine it,
The old man Zaidy lived with his wife Bubby
They had no children but had a chicken Rubby.
The chicken Rubby has laid an egg
The egg was not a simple one, but gold
Zaidy beat, beat, but the egg did not break
Bubby beat, beat, but the egg did not break
The mouse ran and made the egg fall
The egg has dropped but did not break
And rolled down faster, faster down the hill
Down the hill, down the road, to the lake!
In the lake lived the giant sunfish Bluegill.
The giant Bluegill saw the golden egg,
He was hungry, and he swallowed it!
The Zaidy and Bubby desperately wept
Because they lost their valuable golden egg
But later, they calmed down and Zaidy said
“I will go fishing to bring some fish for dinner,
And you, Bubby, cook potatoes, I will not linger!”
Zaidy came to the Ashmere lake, sat on the shore,
He threw his fishing rod, and soon he started to roar
Because a float drowned down, and water splashed
Zaidy pulled his rod out, and he caught the fish–giant
Zaidy brought home the giant Bluegill
And Bubby started cutting it for a grill
Suddenly, she started to yell and shout
She saw the gold egg inside fish-giant
Zaidy and Bubby decided to make a gesheft,
And gave egg back to Rubby to sit the egg
Zaidy and Bubby became extraordinarily rich
They got a wonderful business niche
Happily selling chicks and gold eggs
And making happier their old friends.
Their old friends were all fishermen
They fished at the same Ashmere Lake,
But they never caught the giant Bluegill
Because they did not have the gold eggs
They said to chicken Rubby many thanks,
And our story about the golden egg ends
