Digitalized world

Before we realized
it came to dominate,
the world digitalized,-
you love it or you hate?

Without being suspicious
we welcomed it as art.
We thought it served our wishes
with its devices smart.

It lured us with its power -
technology’s advance.
It waited for its hour
to seize its golden chance.

Attracted by a gadget,
we fall into its web.
It lures us with its magic,
and our reasons ebb.

Before we knew, the data
is now is buzzword.
The net its rules dictating
and conquering the world.

Identity and ethics
are washed away and lost.
We are a part of Matrix,
by all its frills engrossed.

It can locate our place
and, reaching our thoughts,
it can our secrets trace
and tie our wills in knots.

It’s every day evolving,
developing its speed,
us more and more involving,
creating a new breed.

In prisons self-inflicted,
at screens we dumbly gape,
by internet addicted,
and seeking an escape.

Becoming a consumer,
man’s weakening his mind,
no longer fully human,
by internet confined.

By seeking there solace,
detached from real things,
souls can become so soulless,
cut off from Life’s springs.

Forgetting our duties,
we act to others odd.
Like a forbidden fruit, it
takes us away from God.

We give away our rights,
we give away our goals…
Controlled by satellites,
we sell to Satan souls.

Perhaps, elites conspire,
enslaving people, or,
trapped by our own desire,
we sink there more and more.

Becoming symbiotic,
we’ll merge then with AI,
half-human, half-robotic,
unless we simply die.

The devil’s now grooming,
promoting his ways,
to make us all trans-human
create in minds haze.

He uses all temptation,
and we are paying price.
Yet, there is salvation,
if you believe in Christ.
