Peaceful atmosphere
‘’I know.’’
‘’But why?’’
‘’Lindsey and I are conflicted.’’
‘’Why do you say that?’’
‘’How? Do you have any other explanations?’’
Paula thought that by leaving her like that in this place three days ago, something would ultimately change. But nothing had changed. Paula definitely knew that she herself had simply tried to avoid making any sudden and final decisions. Overall, she didn’t like making any decisions at all. She liked to live like this, and maybe to only half talk to people. It goes without saying that she wasn’t an exactly the most easygoing person.
But Miriam wasn’t incapable of being like that, and what’s more, she didn’t want to be. She, by her very nature, inherently preferred to solve everything right there and then without much thought, without any empty promises and without unmade telephone calls.
Soon, the doors of the art gallery will slowly be opened to unfamiliar people, new customers, guests, and maybe even future patrons who will get to go inside.
That was much easier. That felt better. A more peaceful atmosphere was in the air.
