Life. Paused

This was a winter without snow
Then came a spring, in winter's tow
A strange time I never knew.
My world has shrunk to window's view

The stained glass that broke apart
The shards are scattered, not as art
Oh, countries drifting and away
While ships are staying far at bay

We are still tied, by text and phone
In what looks much like danger zone
There are fine feelings in my heart
Though brain implores to stay apart

Akin the grass beneath the ice
Awaiting sun. I'm paying asking price
To hide and live, till warmer days
Come terminate the chilling craze

Now yearning brisk walk in the park
Return to life, to disembark
This loneliness engulfing me
From stifling pause want to be free

I know, this day is gonna come
The trip would end. Not everyone
Awaits us at the meeting place
They will be gone without a trace

Our world shall never be the same.
To stay alive - its biggest game
The empty streets must wait some more
For human voices, as before
