Remember that summer day,
When we said: forever and ever?
It will never be the same.
It will never get any better.

Remember those sleepless nights,
When together we shared dreams
Up to the morning light,
Seeing each other on screens?

From different sides of the world,
Hours and miles away,
We built our strongest bond.
Forever, we used to say.

And later, when hand in hand,
Without any screens and phones,
We stepped on a northern land,
All made out of ice and stones…

We shared amazing time,
With laughter and tears and talks,
Two perfect partners in crime
Were ready to storm any rocks.

When silence could barely speak,
But we couldn’t speak at all,
You left one last kiss on my cheek
Goodbye at the airport wall.

Goodbye. The distance is long.
The time made of doubts and fears.
Connection which used to be strong,
Gets weaker throughout the years….


The person I used to know,
My closest and dearest friend,
Grew up. Let it go. Moved on.
Forever had come to an end.

The tears falling down. Inside
I know, that I have to let go.
But your voice is still in my mind,
Your fingerprints on my soul.

Forever is just too short,
Forever is shorter than life.
Goodbye at the airport
Still feels just as sharp as knife.

I may never see you again,
I may never hear your voice.
It causes me nothing but pain.
But you already made this choice.

Remember, when summer passed,
We said “we will always be…”
But there is no more us,
There is only You and Me.

Life is a cruel game,
But no matter, sooner or later,
It will never be the same.
