Not to condemn...

                “Whoever believes in him is not condemned,
                but whoever does not believe stands condemned already
                because they have not believed
                in the name of God's one and only Son.” John 3:18

Not to condemn the world defiled
God sent His Son, revealed in flesh,
but to forgive His every child
and give to us a life afresh.

Yes, Jesus came to show mercy,
in God’s authority to speak –
with love for those, who aren’t worthy,
with all compassion for the weak.

Not to condemn, but to restore us,
all, who can forfeit their pride,
to block all accusations chorus,
when Jesus on the cross had died.

He had removed the devil’s cursing
from all repentant humble hearts,
He gave, all history reversing,
for all believers a new start.

To welcome sinners, He is ready,
all, who on grace alone depend.
But unbelievers stand already
for all eternity condemned.
