Where is God?

“Where is God?” I can hear again.
Bitterness. Anger. Frustration.
If God allows this hardship and pain,
has He for us obligation?

The human race has forgotten God's ways,
for many centuries now,
being entangled, trapped in its maze,
losing His blessings somehow...

Illnesses, sorrows, troubles and wars –
follow us as a fate.
While we our ways explore,
can He so patiently wait?

God isn't distant - by day or by night
ready to listen and answer,
be our problem as small as a mite
or it is big like cancer.

Is it the consequent price we pay
for choosing sin as a master?
God has compassion for us every day,
be it a loss or disaster.

Like a mother, adoring her child,
can't be ignoring his pain,
so does God, when humanity wild
is treating Him with disdain.

Full of corruption, a human heart
suffers from  grief or from anguish.
Wanting to offer to us a new start,
God had for centuries languished.

He stretched His arms, pleading us to repent
and to come back to His bosom.
Even his dearest Son He had sent
into the Earth’ microcosm.

Jesus had known the feelings we have –
sorrow, pain, rejection,
but by sustaining His faith and love,
He had obtained resurrection.

Merciful Christ, being lifted above,
when we are begging in tears
He, can acquit us with passionate love,
knowing all our fears.

He can alone provide with peace,
giving us hope and freedom,
and in His Kingdom all sorrows cease,
like in the garden of Eden.
