I used to be an odd
And nameless toy,
To which no one approach
In the store.
But now I'm Cheburashka,
And every single mongrel
Offers his paw to me
Straight away on meeting me
I had bad luck at first
And even there were times,
When no one would turn up
At my Birthday Party.
But now I'm with Gena,
He's awesome alligator,
He's really the best one
In this entire world.
