Those Days... The tougher version - plus 18
Those days I have been like a madhouse patient
And couldn't believe: that was just a temptation.
A bunch of carnations I gave from my heart
Attempting to keep her and pledge not to part.
It started to rain, like the tears in my soul,
Which couldn’t be sustained, turned in silver and gold –
In threads that were falling in trying to bind
Her feet and her hair, her heart and her mind …
So quiet she was, with her eyes looking down,
A heartbreaking girl whom I met in that town.
I kissed her with tenderness – what could I do? –
But asked to excuse me. And she understood.
My heart was so bumping, a pain was so stinging …
I said: “I’ll be missing you”, actually meaning.
But words are so poor. And money is rich.
It's always good thing...*
