Hungry Eyes

Hungry eyes glow in the dark…
They don’t growl, they don’t bark.
But they might rip you to pieces
Leaving you without a spark

Of reliance on the efforts
Made in these eternal deserts.
There is no need on this planet
In courageous lonely experts.

So, you’ve found yourself ‘not guilty’?
You know what, It’s rather witty
Of you telling that to people
Of this cursed forsaken city…

Maybe you’ve forgotten something?
Is it your wrist you are cutting
With these scissors of your doubts?
Are these your eyes that you’re stuffing

Like a fluffy teddy bear
(Hey now, don’t you even care?!)
With the words that you don’t keep?
Seems, it isn’t really fair

That you hide behind the wall…
Theories may tend to fall
But the scariest of creatures –
Humans mostly… most of all.
