Autumn song

Few pennies jingle. That will do.
Sidewalks embraced dark-lidded glimmer.
The night is dim, and yet I'm dimmer,
What for is then this ruby hue?

Elsewhere still lingers swishing hum,
Rain sprinkles streets with drops and glitters.
Safe for the train- a fickle misstress-
My window's view's deprived of charm,

So out I walk. Farewell, good-bye.
The trams are restless, moist track streches,
They sure could use a box of matches,
As mist enfolds the passers-by.

This chirp and jingle, hum and knock,
And naked branches ever-nodding,
Enchanting melody of longing,
Are but companions. Out I walk,

Few pennies glisten on a par
(Reflection's shivering and frantic,
Although devinely enigmatic)
With lonesome lattern or a star.

So let us share, fine avenues,
This tepid rain, loose change and strangers,
A bit of sadness, or a major
Note in my dreamy autumn blues.
