She cried: “I love you, silly,
don’t be daft!” –
Just after I have seen them – rolling naked.
Being acting not exactly
like a dove,
I kindly wished them both to meet their Maker.
“That does not change about us a thing!” –
Said she, so I could see where she was aiming.
And then I was no longer dumb and thick,
And said as if it were a different theme:
“That does not change a thing
about anything.”
