Spectacular collapse of states and walls
May seem abrupt and even entertaining:
They help'd achieve the democratic goals,
Created new elites in fortunes gaining.
But do you think of those who lived at roots
And underwent prolong'd collapse and chaos?
They didn't get capitalistic fruits -
Instead, they got just wars and empty vows.
Did you expect those huge misplaced groups?
Did you anticipate the brutal conflicts?
Did you just hope to solve them, sending troops?
Are you, at least, asham'd of your involvement?
And even now, thirty years pass'd,
It's still bloodshed and struggle, unsettled dust...
