"The promise of a soul that's good for me"
Is the defining feature of attraction;
It may be brutal or strangely feminine,
Depending on the object, time and action.
We look into a face and see the soul,
And may it be a beauty or a cripple,
Its features bring emotions to recall -
All kinds of faces for all kinds of people.
And why the need to seek another half?
I don't accept those silly explanations
Of gene exchanges on the group's behalf:
Love is much higher than a basic function.
I love because it makes me feel complete:
"The useful soul" has come to heal our split.
