The megapolis calls for work and fun,
Expos'd to overflowing streams of culture;
We all belong to the selected clan
With an access to equalising fortune.
One lives away, with media access,
And makes an effort to obtain some knowledge;
Another has no learning interests
And much prefers amusements or a voyage.
But when access and striving are combin'd
And push to learn at every single moment
A rigid, uncapacious mind...
Until it gets fed up, and almost vomits.
That is the power of the megapolis:
It takes a lot, and even more allows.
