The London sites related to Shakespeare
Are reconstructed in their former glory;
The Globe revives his plays, and serves some beer,
And sells the books -- renown'd and adored.
But still, there are less known, calmer sites
That have immense historical attachment:
The Gate St John revives and insights
Most vivid pictures in its stones and parchments.
Shakespeare was here, presenting recent plays,
To be approv'd for public entertainment,
The tiny room preserves the former days,
And history is saved and retained.
The room that hosted painters, bards and knights
Is a part of modern London, full of lights.
