My Nightingale

Oh, will you be there, my Nightingale
Singing your sonorous ballade deep down the night?
Oh, will you be there after the darkest gale
With the first rays of Sun to calm down the fright?

Will you sing for me through all my thoughts and sorrows
No matter how far I go to hide away the pain?
Will your heart shine bright and glorious
Gathering salty tears coming with the summer rain?

Oh, will you stay with me to shout in mute despair
Surrounded by silence of the withered wells?
Oh, will you cover me with wings fragile and fair
To heal the wounds until the mourning ends?

Oh yes, I know you will be there,
My tiny friend, my little bird…
Whenever I will need your song, you will be there
To give me strength to carry on…
