Magnolia, the symbol of the spring
Is generous in its fast-living beauty;
Its blooming's short, yet it succeeds to bring
Our dreams and hopes that were by winter muted.
It starts awakening with sleek and tender buds,
Which then explode in synchronised magic -
Unlike the modest edelweiss of Alps,
Magnolia is luxurious and tragic:
As after very few impressive days,
The petals form a sad and tender carpet,
Where their future slowly decays,
No further chance to stop it or depart it.
A brighter blooming means a shorter life:
To choice between ``to shine'' or ``to survive''.
