How illusoric our will and choice

How illusoric our will and choice
Is clear in our family affairs:
One always baths in harmony and joys,
Whilst other fights through poison and chimeras.

The birth itself defines the future path
As much as genes, as well as your upbringing;
No matter how you struggle in helpless wrath,
Your language, gender, circles are here, and clinging.

We cannot choose our parents or our sons,
All in-between is a matter of consequence;
Some like to think it is a random chance,
But I accept the fate with conscious meekness.

My fatalism is grounded in truth,
And every day I see another proof.
