Great rivers vary in Eurasian continent

Great rivers vary in Eurasian continent:
Danube is wide, and Volga's even wider.
Then Thames is small in flow and extent,
But may be mighty when becoming tidal.

The Thames connected London with the trade
In the remote estates of the empire;
It used to bring world produce on a plate
To satisfy all wishes and desires.

Danube could do the same at smaller scale,
For European joint civilisations,
And long before air services or rail,
It help'd to trade the continental nations.

Fresh water, exploration ways and trade -
That's what have made the European rivers great.
