I learn in science the multitude of faults
When organism cannot perform its functions:
In brain, in hormones tiny nuts and bolts
Define our health, or lead to self-destruction.
We now know their mechanisms
And can repair some of their symptoms
In hope that an inherited disease
Will not again affect the vital systems.
Then people want to love and live their lives
And bring their kids into the world of sorrows.
Their offsping face the same unhealthy strife
In the accepted civilised modus.
To bring a child into the modern world, -
With no disease, - I still would have much doubt.
