Confused and uncertain how to bear it
Being push'd between too many interests,
I've finally receiv'd an advice of merit:
"Do what feels right and throw away the rest".
But what feels right doesn't bring appreciation,
And cannot pay one's daily living bills;
Unable to earn by beauty adoration,
A poet has to build some other skills,
And then to balance art with calls of duty
By means of shorter sleep and longer work.
While body operates, the soul can't be muted,
As breath continues, and the heart tick-tocks.
The need to balance those is good for brain;
Still, art would benefit from smaller strain.
