Yuri began to actively attend club jazz events in the city, where he met me at one of the concerts. From the conversation, I realized that in front of me is not just a musician and a guitar player, but someone who is more thoughtful and positively inclined to systemic cultural activities, a person. I was just working on the original layout of the first serious professional music magazine called HI HAT - formed the editorial board and periodically collected editorial boards at the JFC club, where vital issues were discussed. It was obviously premature to deal with purely guitar questions and for this purpose to issue the whole program edition. The number of serious contemporary musicians who have their audience in St. Petersburg was clearly not enough. But to reflect the general growth trends of club culture after the crisis of 1993, when all the bars and restaurants closed against the backdrop of the twists and turns connected with the monetary reform, it made a lot of sense.
