Гимн префектуры Нагано Киёси Асаи 1899

Здесь земля Синано, горная страна.
С десятью граничит землями она.
Поднимаются здесь горы высоко,
Реки наши быстрые мчатся далеко. 

Мацумото, Ина, Сако, Дзенкодзи - 
Нашей изобильной уголки земли.
Нету у нас моря, но наш край родной
Так богат хорошей, выгодной землёй!   

Высятся вершины – стран всех света знаки:
Норимура, Отаке и Камагатаке,
И вулкан Асами, тлеющий вдали,
Всё это – опорные выступы земли.

Реки наши плещут полноводно, шумно;
Две – на нашем севере: Саи и Тикума.
Две текут на юге: Текрю и Кисо.
Нам от них – посевы, это – наше всё. 

Здесь, в долине нашей, кипарисов вид,
Суву – наше озеро – рыба бороздит.   
Нашу жизнь устроили люди хорошо,
Средь даров различных на земле большой.

Тутовое дерево надо посадить,
чтоб спрясти из шёлка жизни нашей нить.
Всей стране известно, как мы шёлк прядём –
Край наш рукодельным славится  трудом.   

Здесь поля похожи на цветущий сад –
Цвет свой от Кумедзо до Кисо дарят;
Мелкие ущелья, где потоки рек
Быстро ущемляются, восхищая всех.

Побывай в Цукаме у целебных вод,
В час, когда луной украшен небосвод.   
Местность Обасуте шлёт гостям привет –
Со времён старинных этот край воспет.

Сёгун Ёсинага    наш прославил край,
Нобунари Носина – храбрый самурай;
И Сендай Дадзай -  науки проводник,
И Дзодзан Сакума - автор мудрых книг.

Славные оружьем,славные пером –
Словно гор вершины, высятся кругом.
Словно наши реки, не иссякнут ввек –
Ваши имена в сердцах у нас у всех.

Здесь, на склонах Усуи,Ямаготаке
Плакал по жене, почившей в смертном мраке…
Двадцать шесть тоннелей там с недавних пор  -
Путников мчит поезд, и крылат, и скор.   

Чтоб идти к успеху, надо всем трудиться,
И, подобно предкам, своего добиться.
Гор и рек величье в душу мы вберём,
Чтоб блистал Синано, наш родимый дом!

Our Shinano

1.
Shinano, our home province, the land of our pride
We have ten neighbors; our land is vast and wide

Nestled in the mountains that kiss the sky above
Blessed with the rivers running through the land we love

Matsumoto, Ina, Saku, Zenkoji

Fertile farmland, rich with fruit and grains
All that we could hope for, we get from abundant plains

Seas of wealth without an ocean
Shinano, you're my home

Towering mountains all around greet us every day
Ontake, Norikura, Komagatake

Asama, a fiery mountain, rising up so grand
They ensure we live in peace; they stand up for our land

We love our clear mighty rivers flowing till the end of time

In the north the Sai and the Chikuma Rivers
In the south the Kiso and the Tenryu Rivers

They refresh the earth beneath our feet, give us strength, bring us life

Kiso has a dense forest; kings of trees flourish
Suwa has a beautiful lake with abundant fish

Crops are produced everywhere; our grains are plenty
We combine our forces for a wealth of bounty

Rows and rows of mulberry trees swaying in the gentle breeze

Nurture silkworms, their thread so strong yet fine
Skilled hands make shiny silk, with beauty divine

Fine threads of our silk weave the fabric of our nation

Sonohara, known for the Broom Tree, be sure to visit
Nezamenotoko provides a night's rest that's moonlit

The cliff paths built in Kiso; bygone days they've seen
The bridge of Kumeji stretches across a deep ravine

The outstanding Tsukama hot spring, favorite of all time
Mount Obasute with the moon, so graceful and sublime

They're beautiful places admired everywhere
Recorded in ancient poems, these treasures are so rare

Yoshinaka, the Shogun of the Rising Sun
Nishina Goro Nobunori, the brave one

Dazai Shundai, the great scholar
Sakuma Zozan, the great thinker

Brave Samurai, brilliant scholars; from Shinano they have come

They performed great feats that make us very proud
We look up to them like mountains higher than a cloud

Their fame will continue like rivers flowing on without end

On the steep Mount Usui, Yamatotake
Cried over his dear wife who gave her life away

Now with twenty-six tunnels going here and there
A mountain railroad lets you travel dreaming without care

Following the road to success, we shall work and study hard

Like those before us we're sure to reach our goals
Great mountains and great rivers foster great souls

Beautiful land filled with kind people; Shinano, you're my home
