Bold, honest and principled politicians are not taken from the air or out of nowhere. They are born and maturing through a regularly working system of democracy, plugged into that magical dynamo machine of parliamentarism in action, where the authorities are always opposed by the opposition, and the choice is always making by people.
Tekebayev in England would become the new prime-minister but we imprisoned our leading oppositional figure. Of course, we generally treat our valuable resources very badly - our gold mines, carbo-hydrogen reserves, lakes, forests, pastures, glaciers. Becouse we have not put into our governing engine a strong opposition yet which able rotate correctly our system.
