Some things are irretrievable, you know.
Some things just pass. But I will never learn.
I've sent an irretrievable hello.
And I've got now nothing in return.
I hoped you had read my poems.
I wished for you in sorrow and pain.
I cried. I bled. I spent my soul on tomes
That you've ignored. And now and again
I ask myself about love and longing.
I spend my days just wishing for you back.
But that's in vain. You are not my belonging.
I can't retrieve hellos... What a smack...
They were delivered like a one-way letter.
And I just wish for something in return.
But nothing's back to show that I matter
For you as well... Why do I never learn...
