Encounter in the Mist

Clouds prostrate their misty flesh on the earth’s rim.
Sky is closer,
breathes
right into my face. Like in a dream
I’m stretching to touch Him, leaping after the misty veil,

and my wet soles leave the earthly mud with humble pray.

Frailty of my body, scrapes of my thoughts and flutter of my desires -
all dissolves in the mist with the sky’s soundless sigh.
With my fleshless and weightless soul I’m touching falling skies.
Bloodless world in front of me is listening to low voices, soft and nice.

This hardly heard rustle is of prayers that reach the dizzy clouds,
and it caresses, and cradles. And the fog is vibrating slightly with sounds.

But my heavy soaked boots drug me down to earth from a dream,
though there is a shining light inside my soul: I was touched by Him.
