  Jenny had a little puppy,
  She went with him for walks,
  They swam in the river together
  And sometimes they even had talks.
      Jenny loved her puppy very much,
      And the puppy loved her too.
      They found such a lot of things,
      Nice and funny things to do.
  Once she took the puppy to a park,
  They began to jump and play,
  They ran around happily
  And spend so half the day.
      After that they had a picnic,
      They ate and drank and Jenny fell asleep,
      And as she was very tired
      Her sleep was very deep.
  Little by little the puppy got bored
  As Jenny slept till the end of the day.
  The puppy tried hard but couldn't wake her up
  And then he ran away.
      Jenny woke up in the evening,
      She called to the puppy and wept,
      She couldn't find her little friend
      And, crying, home she went.
  And who met her near the house?
  Who sparkled with love and joy?
  Who made happy circles around?
  Her darling puppy-boy!
