         To Computaholics

Boys and girls, take this advice
Even if you don't find it nice:

      Set yourselves IMPORTANT aims
      Instead of wasting precious days
      On stupefying shooting games
          On your computer!

      Don't dally, don't dilly!
This pastime really makes you silly!

Your smart young brain turns into wool,
And you become - sorry! - almost fools!

You badly sleep, forget to eat,
Your muscles get flabby, for sports unfit.

Absorbed in games for days on end
You don't talk with Mom, Dad, friend,

You hardly comb or wash your hair,
You rarely walk in the open air -

In short, you live like a useless bug
Or a thoughtless, brainless, aimless  slug!

Wake up without a grumbling sound
And see at last what is around!

Life offers such a wide rich choice!
Here are the few things I can voice:

To your creative force give vent
And something new try to invent.

      Make up a verse, a song, a story -
That it will eat your time, don't worry! -

For you'll create a thing to live
And joy to other people give.

Or strain your brain and build a boat
And make a trip on a water road.

Or paint a picture (why not try?)
Of something nice that caught your eye.

You will insist that you can't  paint,
Write songs or verses, or invent
And build a boat, a car, a plane,
That all your effors will be in vain...

But how will you know what it's all about
If you don't even TRY to find it out?

Don't you wish at all you knew
What talents God has given you?!
