Raticide, ratology, ratocracy
Huge as sun and strong as oath.
Rats had nothing 'gainst his road,
Sometimes squalling in the hold.
They were grey and had big eyes
As gull has, but nothing twice
Inappropriate to be in comparison with sea.
People said 'they always lied
being so thirsty even to die
Out of ship, until the storm
would assume the drear and gore'.
So obsolete sailors were,
too diminished from the hoe -
so mundane to stand alone
with their thoughts from distant shore.
Rats were wise to live and see
whole world as parody.
Bosses called it 'expedition',
workers spat as 'demolition'
- but, in fact, all need to buy
food or sell soliloquy.
People nothing wanted more
as to bring 'them' poison - for
bread would be much tastier, but
when sods started to be cut
from this gloomy life of snork,
- humans slaughtered last pork!
Dying on the water? Meh!
- Death appears to be a death
when it completely deserves
void and colourless resort - to the bottom of a tip.
Wait and look then! Can you see
massive nip of agony?
Souls from little tiny paws,
big red eyes that turned close
- all that mankind called worst,
all the Earth could sometimes burst
- muck stands still, not hiding more,
nor in dens or cracks of shore.
Rats are wiser than you think,
they can taste sea salt as drink
precious by rodenticide,
such in manner
that you never
even try to purify
your own body from the pain
- only love can give you gain.
