When the leaves become green in spring
You will go to the Sea and sing
You will look at the stars and hope
That he’s still alive though there’s war.

When the waters of seas are blue
He will think of his home, of you,
He will sing of the starless night
And of Western unfading light.

When the leaves from the trees will fall
He will stay in the darkling hall.
He will fight for their love and faith.
In the darkness his life will fade.

When the Earth will be covered with snow
Will be sung every lament, song.
But the grave on the isle will green.
You will stay at the shore and sing.

When the spring will come here again
To the land, where’s no grief or pain
You will meet after all his fights
And the stars will be all alight.

When the leaves will be green and long
You will sing your enchanting song.
