The ballad about the king and his daughter
Who had a lovely daughter.
She was his joy, his only "thing",
He cherished and adored her.
The king had hoped that proper match
He'll find for her to marry
Of royal blood with gentle touch
- Who'd keep his daughter merry.
But princess went once "all the way"
In love through carnal pleasure
With handsome horse groom, and, true to say,
Whose looks were all his treasure.
King father caught them making love in daughter's bedroom quarter,
And angered vowed to avenge both princess and her squatter.
He ordered chain them - face to face, ten feet apart and naked.
The daughter dropped onto her knees and said she couldn't take it.
But king, unmoved, let carry on this punishment in public,
The Love has gone, has gone the lust,
Replaced with hatred and disgust.
...
That's why we hate the rule of kings and much prefer republic.
