I used to dream of living in Cracow
I used to dream of living in Cracow
After the stories heard from my father
About Germans during the war
Who wanted to destroy it all
But this sacred place survived, thank God.
It's history now, but that's how it was
The angels were this city's guards
So many of them watching Wawel halls
And gods decided in heaven above
That this place should live evermore.
Old Town, Main Square, Cloth Hall
Carriages-steinkellers, buckboards,
Horses rigs and their carters,
So many churches and bell towers,
Kazimierz, synagogues, bugle call every hour.
Dreams came true. It's a legendary place
Visited by so many foreign guests...
I've been living here for years
I love these streets, no complaints,
And all the renovated buildings as well.
Gorgeous area of B;onia Park,
So many relics in our old capital.
Cafes, restaurants, guests from abroad,
Museums and galleries filled with crowd. . .
All of this make us proud.
