I stare at the beach from my room
On my business trip to this town
There is this ocean air to consume
There is this perfect life around
A couple, holding hands, is passing by
I watch them from my balcony
And think about a tie to buy
And the presentation for my company
The couple stops, watching the sky
I think about my last suggestion
To improve my boss’s “powerpoint pie”
That needs some correction
The ocean town wakes up late
My alarm is set at 3 a.m. in the morning
The ocean beach can probably wait
When I return, another day is dawning
On my business trip to this ocean town
