When life is dull and not amusing,
And wars invade the minds of men,
There’s nothing like a little music
To make you trust in dreams again.
 
There’s nothing like a “happy hour”
To make your day a happy day.
No matter if you’re sad or sour -
Those feelings will be washed away.
 
There’s nothing like a little laughter,
With something sparkling in a glass.
Regrets may come a little after,
But here and now, they shall not pass!
 
There’s nothing like a get together
To see old friends and make new friends.
And any place, or time, or weather
Will be just fine towards these ends.
 
There’s nothing like those keys called “major” -
For they defeat the minor keys
To brighten up sheet music pages,
And they do so with grace and ease.
 
With all these puns on words I’m using,
There is one thing I have to say:
One day, we all shall face the music,
But now – just let the music play!
